Heinrich Hertz (1857-1894)
Heinrich Hertz
hertz was a German scientist. He was the first person to broadcast and receive radio waves.
In 1883 he began working on electromagnetic radiation.
He produced radio waves by using a rapidly oscillating electronic spark and was able to measure their velocity and their wavelength.
This confirmed the theory developed by James clerk Maxwell. The unit of Frequency, the hertz, was named after him.
One Hertz (1Hz), is equivalent to one cycle or oscillation per second.
